Would these be OK?

I've got a Coupe with 108's and I'm looking at changing my front tyres to these.

Just wanted to make sure they will be OK as speed and load are higher than my current tyres. Does it matter as long as it's not below the recommended speed and load?

Yes - you must always drive as close as possible to the maximum speed rating of the tyre!

Seriously, though, of course it doesn't matter - as long as its a 'V' rated or higher it'll be fine for road use.

Speed Rating / max. mph
V / 149
Z / 150+
W / 168
Y / 186

I always do try to drive at the maximum speed rating of the tyres but I can't seem to get it above 155

I was more wondering about the load being a higher load and XL?

So the ones in the link will be fine as they seem a pretty good price

I thought I'd be OK but I wanted to double check.

Not much more than the Vred's either which I probably would've gone for if they had kerb protection.

They do have a lip which protects the alloy if you brush the kerb when parking, not that I do.

Not the ones I got for my girlfriends car??? The kerb protection was half compared to the Eagle F1's I've seen on a new Focus ST which is more like the RFT Bridgestone.

I do need them as big as possible as I park on the a street that has nasty Victorian kerbs
