Considering it was women's football*, I thought it was very entertaining.
That Lauren James is a very talented footballer.
* No offence to the ladies but they are many, many years behind the men's game.
They are catching up quite quick, though. It's amazing what money and publicity can do!

Yes the Spanish girls definitely showed our girls how to time waste and properly hit the deck to earn the freekicks, the amount of times we could have gained ground further upfield when their defenders went through our strikers and they stayed on their feet. We got schooled in the dark arts.
Lauren James looked so utterly disinterested when she came on, was really annoyed at that, she literally walked around the part for best part of an hour and did very little - for someone with so much talent, compare her to the look on Lucy Bronzes face absolutely squeezing every ounce of last energy out of her body every time she was involved, a lesson for LJ there.

Catching up very quick. I noticed the England goalie on a couple of occasions 'rolling a gob' in her mouth and spitting it out, no doubt to dive in it later in the game. Oh, it is not 'the men's game, it is football, been called that as long as I can remember. Football and Women's football.Pondrew said:

When one of there wingers wasted time by kicking the ball away in extra time (a straight yellow) the ref walked towards her and looked as if she was about to book her but when she realised that player was already on a yellow she walked away and did nothing.

OK Pondy, it's women's football, but they are playing teams of the same standard as themselves so that save still counts.
But better than that was her reaction! A true Lioness!
