Workshop manual

Morning all. Does anyone do a printed workshop manual for the E85 specifically? Searching for Haynes etc brings up E46 manual.

I’ve got TIS online website and similar but would like an actual book :D

The E46 shares engine, suspension and brakes so most mechanical items are the same but differences mean the Haynes manual isn't ideal. BMW TIS is a bit clumsy to use but is good if you have a specific job in mind and have time to sit down and search through.

Most of the common jobs can be found on this forum, Youtube or somewhere like Pelican Parts 'How To' pages which I really rate https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/BMW_Z4M_Tech.htm

Thanks mate that’s fair enough.

I do like Pelican parts, used it quite a lot for other Beemers

Hi mate

The haynes one is adequate for most jobs apart from body/fitment and fittings stuff... like your man above says what isnt in there is probably on youtube or on the forum here

I've done most jobs over the last month using those 3 media and not found anything yet not covered!

Are these manuals any good?

I've not seen these before, it's interesting to see that all the reviews only rave about how it's "easy to download", "looks good so far", "If it's good I might use it again". What about someone who's used it for complex work and thought it was any good? Unless they've done a 'Haynes' and fully stripped a car, or have ripped off BMW TIS its hard to see where they have got their content from.

Has anybody used their manuals?

Probably find you'll end up with a copy of TIS which could can get much cheaper if not FOC elsewhere.
