well here is what i'm planning on doing
installing courtesy light in my mirror and wiring up to the factory dome light so it comes on when unlocked and dims with lock.
on E46's they have footwell lighting where you can easily tap into but on my Z, there is only one place, the dome light for tapping. BUT that dome light also serves as a interior light with switch. err.. so i need to know which wire is the one for the "door unlock" that signals the dome light to turn on, not the switched wire.
little complicated but it'll be hot once it's all said and done. white LED's to be installed under the mirror.
