Wipers not working!

Hey all, I've not posted for a while but in need of some advice!

So a week ago my wipers stopped working, however they would work when I engaged the wash wipers.

Initial thoughts was fuses so I checked those responsible for wipers / wash and they appeared to be fine (not noticeably blown). So I then tried swapping a few fuses around to test my theory but it made no difference.

Next thought was the relay, so I purchased a replacement relay and followed this useful guide https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=98378 but it has made zero difference!

So I went back to checking the fuses - I removed no 38 and the wash wipers stopped working however now I've put it back in that doesn't work anymore!! :headbang: So I basically can't get wipers to come on at all now. I know (99% anyway) that the motors are ok as they worked when using the wash wipes - at least they did until I messed about with the fuses

Does anyone have any thoughts or can recommendations on how to sort this? p.s. I have a 2007 3.0 Si Coupe

Thanks

Pete

Do a search for cleaning wiper contacts. Worked on my e85, it's a common problem. Strip, clean like new.

Are you, absolutely 100% sure you put them back in the right place, checking the fuse diagram.

Easily done wrong (spkg from personal experience)

Yes this is the wiper contacts as mentioned above. Remove scuttle panel, strip down and clean. There are posts in here with good pics.

Yes mate, I didn't mess around too much to be honest.

Also tested them all with multimeter and they're fine along with the original relay too.

Mine went on the coupe, best £4.00 you will spend especially stripping for the motor clean
