Wipers not returning to "parked" position?

Evening all and a Happy New Year!

Just driven back down to London and noticed occasionally my wipers won't reset to the parked position. Now I've stopped, they've reset.

I wondered if this was something to do with the auto wipers, as it's chucking it down and a very dirty car... Sensor not working as it should perhaps?

Any input welcomed!
 
Just checking, are you turning the car off while the wipers are still moving, or are you turning the wiper off and they're just stopping where they are?
 
Are you sure this is ///M specific :poke:

It will be grease on the motor, common issue on all E85/6 not jus ///M's :wink:

Probably not a good explanation, Jay - when driving with the auto wipers working fine, occasionally the wipers will appear to think about wiping again, but stop at about 75 degrees rather than 90 degrees, ie flat and "parked".
