Wiper Weirdness

HI Folks,
My wipers have started making an odd noise over the last couple of months. When ever the wipers return to their park position and stop I hear what can only be described as a "Farty Clonk Creak" noise. This only happens when the wipers actually stop (turning off or between cycles on intermittent/auto settings) and not just when they pass through the park position when constantly on. They still park in the same position they always have so haven't started stopping erratically or anything like that.
May be wrong but is sounds like it is coming from the LHS of the scuttle/dash. Any advice would be helpful as it is starting to annoy me now and I need to get it sorted before the winter and rain every day rather then every other day!

Cheers,

MArk

I realise this is a thread revival but I have the exact issue this guy had wondered if any one had any ideas now a year or so on lol .

Several have had issues with the joints wearing prematurely. Probably worth removing the cover and greasing the joints. Also ensure both drains are clear and the motor doesn't have worrying signs of excessive corrosion. Be careful on cover removal, the clip anchorages can be broken without a lot of effort.

I don't have a specific explanation of this noise, but this is good preventative maintenance anyway. And you might discover something else amiss that needs attention.

Took the scuttle and wiper mech of mine a few days ago after the driver side arm stopped working (linkage worn and had parted company)
The how to was really helpful and after struggling getting the arms removed from the drives the job was very simple. bcworkz is correct the fasteners can be easily broken some of mine had already been bust fro a wind screen replacement by previous owner. Hot glue gun worked. My drain was totally choked. Cannot help with the noise your are experiencing
