Wiper relay location

Thank you for the advice. I have carried out the procedure as suggested and it has cured the fault and the wipers now work a treat. It was a bit worrying as they seemed to take on a life of their own and could only be coaxed back into life by turning the engine off and on again, not always possible when blasting up the motorway!! Thanks again. :D

Thanks for the link Gannet. I too will be undertaking this proceedure come the weekend. Might post a pic depending what I find.

Can't take credit for the thread though...

Glad it helped though

nothing a search wouldn't have found :P

Hello All,

Having a problem with my wipers (Wiperblades "just stop" during operation, and work again after 3 minutes). Meanwhile the 3 minutes, turn ignition off on and on again , or any other positions dont make them work. I need to wait 3 minutes, or stop and restart the engine.

Before cleaning grease, based on the following posts :

I want first to change the relay (ref 61316919113) concerning the wipersblades , to my opinion, it sounds it is an electrical problem.
Why? :) Because I have noticed :
- intermittent mode does not work at all, in first position up, I only get automatic wiperblades mode.
- In single wipe, I get more than one run, maybe 10
- when wiperblades are stopped, it is not possible to get water, The windshield washer does not work neither

So, I have opened the glove box, and I have access to all the fuses BUT how can I access the relays which should be behind, right?

Could anyone help me? :)

Thanks in advance

this is the exact problem i have, the wipers start, but there is no stop signal and so they wuto turn off to prevent burn out... the 3 minutes is an auto cut off thing.
