Winter Tyres - Make of tyre and are they on yet?

BMW Winter Tyres on today:

Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 225 - 45 R17 on standard BMW 290 wheels........now it can get colder and snow!

Just put my new wheels and nokian wr a3 winter tyres on. 225/40 R18 all corners.Rial alloys pretty cheap seem good quality.£880 total cost. Was snowing as I did it. Aviva were fine with different wheels and winter tyres..no extra charges.

Sending ours off for refurb this week. (The wheels, not the tyres) On next weekend, if it's this cold, as the rears were trying to go in a different direction from the fronts this morning.....
Second hand from Our Wonderful Website; Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme.
And for those who were wondering, Yes, they are the staggered set-up.

Back from the refurb. Nice looking, not a perfect finish, but they are a difficult wheel to cover with all the narrow gaps. OH very happy, so quality is where it needs to be.

- Kumho I'ZEN KW27 winter tyres on 104 16 inch wheels. Bought off a11y last year.

After faffing about driving onto wood to get extra height for jack last winter, took the car to my local mechanic who had the car on the ramp, wheels changed, pressures checked, torqued correctly within 20 minutes. Well worth £10. 8)

Grip is fantastic.

Also fitted hardtop last weekend. So ready for winter.

Very nice indeed, I like them. Got a wintry kind of feel to them - the dirty snowflake look

Matt Black Grilles have gone back on, and the silver 224's are in the garage, so looking meaner and moodier again. Looks loads better with mud and crap thrown up both sides though

At last, wheels arrived to go with tyres. Now on my car.
Tyres from Oponeo.co./uk - best price I could find (others like Black Circles didn't offer the tyre I wanted) and delivered within the week.
Just have to wait for the low temperatures and snow the forecasters were predicting a week ago that never materialised.

Yes. Still on winters but car back from bodyshop tomorrow with scuffs and alloys all done. New set of vreds in the garage ready to go on at weekend. Bring on the snow next week as no doubt it will the second the winters are off!

My new summers went on Saturday - though only because one of my winters has a nail in it, else I may have been tempted to wait a week or two...
