For the repair route I dont know if adhesive is enough, even with a high modulus it's such a small area in with would be half in peel? As it would pivot around the mount.. Perhaps resin - carbon fibre?

I can give you the carbon if you need it, its small patch.

I dunno, I haven't see inside these. But from the photo it seems like a 5mm ring thick ring.

If you're going down the repair route I'd bolt both pieces back together. Not sure if you'd have to drill them out first or not, but this would be strong enough for driving and also probably withstand "round 2" if those delinquents decide to come back.

I would suggest gluing with epoxy
It’s a cheaper option for you
To have done one and then walk round to do the other is just mean!
Unless it was a pair of muppets?
