Wing mirror advice?

Hi there, Oh infinite wisdom of the z4-forum community...

I am in the process of ordering some pretty special things for project marmite, and I need to know what variation of wing mirrors I need to order, because they are being custom made to my specifications I need to inform them if I require:

3 wire
3 pin
4 wire
4 pin

I have NO IDEA wtf this means? Also i'm pretty sure my e85 has electric mirror and heated capabilities, but is there anyway I could check without turning on the ignition?

So in order to preserve these functions i'll need to order the correct versions right? I have the base plates all sorted so just need this information...

any help?

Taking a stab in the dark here, but if I had to guess:

3 Wire system would be: Heated, electric movement (standard I believe)

4 Wire system would be: Heated electric movement, electric folding.

According to WDS, there are up to 9 wires to the mirror. The two angle control motors work off 3 wires, which is probably what they are enquiring about, but I couldn't be sure. There are also two wires each for the following functions: heat, folding motor, electrochromic (auto-dip) function. The second wire of the heater is actually just to ground, everything else goes to a control module in the door.
