Hi all-done a search, which says push in and turn anti clockwise, mine will only move a fraction, will wd40 help?-is the round metal outer solid to the wing?-thanks.

yes it takes quite a bit of effort to turn it, don't worry it won't break. Make sure you push it in enough to flex it a bit. Then give it a good hard turn. I'm pretty sure it was counterclockwise for me but I could be wrong.

WD40 won't help much, it's plastic. (not metal). Once you've done it a few times you get to understand how much effort is required.

Oh and don't use your finger tips to turn it, cup it between your thumb and index finger with both hands, found that worked better.

Had to replace mine a few weeks ago too, also found it very tough at first.

Hi Andy the metal outer doesnt need to move mate! When I changed my orange repeaters to clear mine like yours would only turn slighty! I basically wrapped a thin cloth around my hand and gave it a good tight gribbed turn and off she came! I did notice dirt and grim around the rubber lip of the repeater I removed, I can only assume thats why it was a little tough to remove! Hope this helps not very technical I know

Yeeeaaahh-done it thanks guys, does the black rubber just pull off the back?-i dont have to disconnect the battery to change a bulb do i?-these cars seem a tad fickle!!

why would you remove the rubber from the back? Are you replacing the bulb or the entire turn signal assembly?

no need to disconnect the battery.

Sorry i meant the black plastic/rubbery bulb holder at the back -does it turn or just pull off?-seems tight to do either at the mo??

andysat you're making a mini project out of this.

Just undid mine to check for you and the black bublholder is a 45 degree anticlockwise turn. BTW remove to refit unit and bulb should take under 15 seconds :poke:

Thankc cj but mine has just pulled off straight so i have the wire and plug end in my hand and the bulb is still in the roundel case?-sorry for the mini project
