Wine advice - any experts here?

Sure there will be some expert drinkers lol but anyway...

I've been clearing the garage out (to make plenty of space for the zed to sleep in :) ).

We've got a lot of bottles of wine in there (as in a lot) which are all from the 70's and 80's (nothing beyond 1989 infact). Now I'm not a wine expert but the majority are red so whilst the vast majority are probably 'gone' I'm guessing some of the more expensive ones might have matured nicely.

So...

Not asking for someone to come round and try them (we can do that ourselves lol) - I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for good wesbites or anything that I could reference to find out which may be good or bad and the potential values. Likewise if any are worth a half decent amount where I could possibly sell them?

Have they been stored 'properly' - i.e. never too warm, never too cold?

If not, then I'd be surprised if any of them are drinkable - so you might as well ship them to me to test for you :poke:

Can't help with selling them though, as I just buy/drink the stuff - and anything over £50 a bottle is usually paid for on expenses.
 
all i know for sure is red makes me mellow & sleep like a baby :wink:
& ive tried the £10 plus a bottle & its crap compared to this 2.50 euro stuff i bring back from france

Too true. As a fellow Health Care Professional I can only endorse what the good Dr says.

Don't sell it - Open it.

If it's nice drink it, if it's not chuck it down the drain. Remember to try each bottle individually.
