Windscreen wipers slowly died today

Hi, I was driving in the rain today with my wipers on when I noticed they were starting to slow down. Eventually they stopped all together so I increased the speed to maximum where they started working again however very slow. They eventually stopped working on all settings and are now stuck halfway up. The way they stopped working was like there was no power to them at all. Does it sound like I need a new motor?
 
Its a known issue do a search and you will find the info .
On saturday mine were intermittently stopping about 2" up from the stop position which was annoying the hell out of me so im assuming there on the way out and stripping and cleaning .
 
I've had a strange problem over weekend of them being dead and then working again. At they moment they are working .......

You need to remove the wiper motor & clean it internally :thumbsup:

Hi

looks like the internal brushes have worn

sometimes you can clean them or change them .. worse case new DC motor needed
