Windscreen replacement?

Hello all,

Has anyone had their windscreen replaced and if so could I ask the cost? Where there any problems afterwards?

Also, if anyone has had the drivers side window replaced I'd be interested in price paid for that too?

My windscreen looks like its been sand blasted and night time driving is becoming problematic. :cry:

Insurance claim following damage. £60-£100 excess. Just ensure there is sufficient damage to warrant a replacement not a repair :wink:

We had to have our Mini done (minor rock incident) and the result was fine with Autoglass doing the work. Check your insurance for their approved fitters, though.
 
Mine was replaced through my insurance, £60 excess done by the AA. They fitted the wrong windscreen by mistake and had the come back out and refit a new screen again (there is a different between the coupe and roadster screens). They quickly identified their mistake and put it right so I would use them again.
 
Had mine done a couple of years back. Issues where the lower rubber trim strip was not seated, but remedial team came out and fixed it. Auto glass and usual insurance excess.

Needs a good crack or chip else insurers will try to repair it.....

I had a quote to replace without insurance of 280 quid. Looks like I may investigate the insurance route...
