Windscreen demist?

Is it me, but why did BMW design the air blower so that can't have windscreen demist only? Am I missing something as you have to have air flow going to the footwells as well as the windscreen which isn't great feature on cold mornings

I have a windscreen demist button on mine in the centre of one of the control knobs IIRC. Are you talking about your Z3 or Z4 ? Both of which are different to mine

I just remember thinking this when I first took delivery and thought it was broke Kevinmarkwhite very kindly did a video of the dash dial as I couldn't believe you couldn't select windscreen only Just wandered why they designed it like that :?
