Window squeek

Hi, a few months ago I treated myself to some chemical guys rain off window sealant. Whilst it's good stuff, and this may just be a coincidence but when the weather is warm or sunlight on the window it squeaks like mad!it may be a coincidence since I treated the windows but I don't know how to sort it, has anyone had this problem before or know what I can try to do? I'm not massively mechanically minded, but it's bloody aweful!

Unless someone in the Norwich area could help me??

Yep my passenger window does this when its hot and sunny. The general advice is to lubricate the window rubbers with silicone spray.

Not WD 40 ! Silicon spray or Teflon dry lube ! Otherwise you'll have oil residue on your windows and the oil in wd40 can affect the rubber seals :D

Thank for the help. Got some silicon spray.
This is my issue. http://s89.photobucket.com/user/Martyn_Francis/media/1F52EE85-1688-4967-B194-CCA3CAFB0061_zpsjnpwhs1o.mp4.html

Sorry don't know how to get it as a link. Where exactly do I spray this stuff, and I take it it'll need time to bed in?

So I sprayed with the window down everywhere I could.... No change and now this stuff all over the window when it goes up and down. Grumpy. What do I do?? What could it be? Have u sprayed in the wrong place??

Holy moly, that is loud! :o

I'd have thought that noise is coming from the "rollers" inside the door panel, not the seal touching the glass..

Is that video after using silicon spray?

Just watched the vid and thats just what mine does but only when its hot, if its not the rubbers then it must be the regulater although I'm not convinced. still think its the rubber seal.

If you do find out and cure it let us know please.

take the door card off, take the membrane off.
you'll then see the window and regulator runners
spray some grease onto the vertical rubber seal at the forward edge of the window glass.
spray some grease onto the forward retaining clip and slider (white plastic in silver metal runner)
spray some grease onto the regulator cable.
if you can, spray some grease onto each of the four pulleys within the regulator framework (not the motor area). This may require at least partial removal of the regulator however.

listening to video and having taken the regulator apart many times, I strongly believe it'll either be that front rubber seal, or the pullys.

also gives you a good chance to inspect the regulator cable for fraying, particularly the ends that enter/leave the motor housing.
if they're fraying, then you can expect a failure in a short time.
