windhsield washer

The windshield washers are not squirting onto my windshield. The headlights washer is working correctly. Anyone have an answer for this problem?

Perhaps the pipe under the hood that connects to the washer jets has become disconnected ? It runs up one of the gas struts that holds the hood open, should be the passenger side on your car. Worth a check. Or one of the filters in the washer fluid bottle may be blocked...

Theres 2 pumps I think. One that goes to the headlight washers and one that goes to windscreen. Maybe the windscreen one has given up?

Had loads of problems with my washer bottle/pipes/headlight washers and those pumps were one of the culprits.

Are you losing any screenwash? My bottle kept emptying. One issue was the headlight washer pump and another was a leaking headlight washer.

Are ypu hearing the motor or not getting anything at all ?

There is a filter under each pump. Mine stopped working last week, screen had no pressure and the headlights worked fine.

Pull out the motor you see at the engine side, then you will see what looks like a rubber washer. pull it out and clean the filter.

Then re-fit. My tank was gunked so I took it off and washed it out.

I love this forum - just had exactly the same problem and removed the filter, which was totally clogged. Rinsed it out under the tap and now have full washer power! Thanks Scotty.
