Wind noise window adjustment

Hi all

I have fitted a replacement window regulator as my driver side window failed spectacularly with a bang.

Everything works fine, up/down movement is clean, and the front/back position is perfect. I have, however now got the well documented wind noise. The top of the glass towards the rear of the window sits against the rubber seal rather than in it. I have used the bolt available under the car door to angle the glass in as much as possible and have no further movement left in that. It just isn't quite enough to get it to sit right.

Is there any other fix available to me? I will take the door card off again if necessary, however I don't know whether there is an adjustment I can make other than the above bolt.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Did my regulator at the weekend also. No adjustment with door car removed.

I did find I needed to angle the socket on the adjustment bolt on the bottom of the door to get the full adjustment.

The adjustment under the door simply wont make a difference unfortunately.

I will try padding out the seals.

Thanks for the link

I had the same needed to align the door more accurately, moving only about 2mm made all the difference now the door seems to be sat totally in line with the rest of the body and the door glass presses firmly against the seal.

Mine was due to,having fitted a new door carcass.
