Hi,
If the sale to France falls, through then I would definately like to buy it.
Thanks
Clive

Hi Clive,

No heard back yet, but first to confirm the sale at the asking price will get the item.

It was discussed last week that saying interested doesn’t confirm the purchase :) forum rules.

But of an awkward situation for me here.

Sure2drive confirmed he wanted it at the asking price first.

But EVM said he was interested first and then confirmed 1 minute after sure2drive.

Can one of the mods confirm who gets first dibs? I don’t want to upset anyone.

Thanks
Simon

In this case given the speed of the confirmation from EVM and the fact that 'interested' was probably to confirm postage to France then the sale should go to EVM

I did PM you as nothing received yet, but see perhaps why now.
I edited my original post to say I would "definately" buy it after reading the forums rules, and before the other party responded, but obviously will accept moderators decision as i too would not want to cause offence.

Sorry, just read moderators response. So forget the above and I'll carry on with my search.
Thanks.

Thank you for your understanding here, I hope you're able to source another one

Thanks all for the mediation and understanding, happy for an amicable outcome.

I had a sweat on initially, but a good lesson learnt for me to read the forum rules more closely and to be totally clear in future.

Hope you enjoy it EVM, I didn't think I would need one initially but after having done some miles without one I have changed my mind.
Hopefully another one will come up soon.
Thanks Marlon for your Solomen wise decision, I totally understand.

I just tie an indian cotton scarf between the bars, nice yellow with cool print on it. Works a treat and look rad! Cost = £3.

There's this one

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/233203507847

Thanks for the link. I was really after the more solid BMW one, but something like this might be ok, I'll do some research and see what else there is out there. I'll keep an eye on the one on ebay though, so thanks for the thought, much appreciated.

Sounds brill....you gonna send me a pic of yours

I hadn't realised trying to get these wind deflectors second hand is like looking for hen's teeth! Just spent ages looking and am now dazed and confused!
looks to me like mesh would be better for me than solid, and I have seen references in posts to OEM mesh wind deflectors.
Does anyone know which are the best rated and whether there is one specific type recommended by users on the forum, or is one as good as another?
Also, not sure if this is the best place to post this enquiry, should I copy it to E85 discussion?
Thanks
Clive

Scrub the above...just bought a second hand genuine deflector from Shpock (bit like gumtree) now I just need the brackets, so thanks to all who put up with my interminable messaging all is well that ends well :-)

Of course, soon as I get the hardtop off  The oem deflectors look terrible. :fuelfire:
