will this jack be ok to lift my 2003 e85 2.5 ?

need to fit some new pads and the car doesnt come with a jack :-)
 
I have a similar one that I bought from Halfords years ago that does the job OK. In fact they have similar one on offer now on the web for £21.99. I'd like one with a bigger lift really but then would probably have less space to get it under the jacking points. I use a piece of hard rubber cut to size in the jacking point to prevent damage by the saddle.

The ebay one mentions 135mm minimum. The halfraud one, he could measure himself before purchase.

Agreed. I have to use a scissor jack to lift my car sufficiently to get my trolley jack under the car :headbang:

i have a halfords jack and i found i couldnt get it under the car... it wasnt much by much tho <10mm but enough that i didnt want to force it.

it could have been the uneven drive that didnt help.
 
Worth checking out amazon, I picked up a low profile trolley jack (Previous lowered Audi TT) for £40 deliveried a couple of years ago!!

Worth scanning the pages / searching on amazon as some of the sellers on amazon run really good sales.

Cheapest I had seen previously was £100+

I have a clarke trolley jack from machine mart 2 ton also,just fits under does the job well.
 
As mentioned by RobJJZ4, There's a few on amazon, search under low profile jack, and choose an 80mm one.
