 Here & there
Working up in County Durham in four week stints and it's cold and frosty and when not it's very wet. I have been looking for a suitable cover as the zed is unfortunately outside and in the elements and I need/want to protect it. I have been offered a genuine BMW outside cover but for an E85, can anyone tell me if this cover fit an E89 ??

Hi Zebedee & Nick :D

I can recommend the Halfords Advanced All Seasons Car Cover  cheaper than the BMW ones, I use one. They are very advanced (as far as car covers are concerned  ) they have several layers, are nice and strong and the materials used are designed specifically for the job at hand. I was worried about a frozen cover scratching the car when taken off, but this hasn't happened at all -I have used this one in the freezing snow & icy conditions over the past winter and the cover itself didn't freeze at any point - even though the snow on top of the cover itself was frozen solid and I have my car outside (not garaged) in a dell that freezes over a lot. It has straps at front and rear allowing you to fasten behind front wheels and in front of rear wheels- I am suitably impressed by them to recommend them, and at less than £65 for the Large they are good value for money.

ref size- on my e89 with mirrors folded, the large is still a tight fit (which I like  ) so you may want the extra large. I would recommend getting to halfords and trying out both the large and extra large before purchasing, get a staff member to come out and help you get it over your car to test before choosing. Also doesn't have a BMW logo on it - which I like.

regards

IWL :cpilot:
