Will e82 msport 18" mags and tyres fit?

Hi Guys,

I just purchased some genuine bmw E82 msport 18inch mags, I would like to know if they will fit my car and also what tyre size is ideal.

They are staggered with 18 x 7.5 fronts and 18 x 8 rears

They currently have 205 x 45 x 18 on the front and 225 x 45 x 18 rear

Are these suitable for my car? They are Bridgestone Potenza run flat tyres with 90% tread all around.

Much appreciated

These are the mags I am talking about however I have new tyres for them.

They will fit, but you will not be able to achieve oe tire sizes, as the whhels are narrower than oem z4 wheels.
The perfect oe size for staggered setup is
225/40/18 front
255/35/18 rear, which usually needs at least 8,5inch rim width.
So probably you should think about 225/40/18 front and 245/18/rear.
Although I'm not sure whether you can mount 225 tire on 7,5" rim

What are the offset stamps inside the wheels?

Not sure on the offset unfortunately as I do not have the wheels yet, I am picking them up tomorrow.

Thank you, yes I thought the 205 was a bit small. I'm not one for speeding or hard cornering, I just enjoy the cruise, will these different tyre sizes be all that noticeable?

They should be the same offset as standard Z4 18's but the slightly narrower rims will mean they sit in a little .
Don't think you'l notice the smaller tyre sizes & i would only change them up once shot
Be sure to post some pics up once fitted

Okay so I fitted the mags, I might say they do look quite nice and suit these z4 roadsters down to a tee.

However I now have the issue of the warning light on the dash (I believe it is the tyre deflated warning light) I have put adequate air in (35psi) and it is still on and is driving me crazy, how do you fix this, I still have my old rims and tyres...

Thank you greatly in advanced anyone and everyone :!:

Okay at risk of sounding stupid here, which button are you referring too Mr Wilks :P

On 4 different model BMW's i have had with TPMS there has been a button on centre console near ashtray that when pressed & held resets the system :?
Have you not got one ?

Its usually rectangle not the square ive shown / that just shows the logo

Okay I found it, its a tiny circle literraly the size of; O

I done it and it re-set, so hopefully this doesn't play up again when I drive now it has adequate air pressure, I was just worried that the new wheels might have a different tyre pressure monitoring system being from a much newer car.

The system doesn't use the wheels or measure pressure, it uses the ABS sensors on the brake system to see if there is a mismatch between the speeds of the wheels. If you have a tyre with lower pressure, then it will have a smaller circumference.

Okay makes sense as to why its called ABS pressure monitor..

I had a dodge nitro and fitted 24" rims to it, and they had pressure sensors in the original wheels that wouldn't fit in the aftermarket wheels so it literally used to beep every time I would turn it on and and have the warning light on in the dash always. was highly frustrating.

Anyway this worked perfect and the light never came back on, than you kindly for your help, mr wilks, much appreciated!
