Just an idea, obviously the issue of fitting a strut over the oil cap on a 3.0si is a well documented problem, however I've come across this Wiecher Alu Strut which seems to solve this.

I had previously looked at the web ACS strut which allowed space for the oil cap to be removed, but I baulked at a 700 quid price tag!

As I said its made by Wiecher, and after some research they seem to be a pretty good outfit.

What are your guys' opinions, would this one avoid blocking the oil cap of a 3.0si? thanks

I have a WIechers-sport strut
fits perfectly, no problems withg accessing the oil cap
you can choose one of three materials to make it of - steel, aluminium and carbon

I went for the steel option
Have some photos @ home, I'll try to find it in next few days :)

 that would be good if you could share some of your photos, I went ahead and ordered it, have you noticed a difference with the Wiecher strut?

Ok.. I agree, that there were hell of a few days..
I'm sorry, but've been working a lot lately..

Did I notice any difference? Yes. but not that much of improvement as in FWD
Barchetta became a different kind of animal after installing a strut brace

Z4 became slightly better at mid and fast corners
and probably if one would paint those two oe struts red to match the third one, it would look better
