Why the number 15 on my alloys?

Hi all -looking at my 16's and 17's i have noticed a number 15 stamped on the face of both sizes-why is this??-sorry if this is blindingly obvious!

Given that 108s have et50 on the rear, not sure this number is offset.

Could be wrong though....

Some 108's have 15 others 8. I'd assumed it was a casting reference, but probably way off.

I would guess it's the pattern number of the casting mould.
