Why go temporary insurance?

Taking a bit of a risk insuring the E85 I'm looking at later today before I've bought it but that aside, on a multi policy the premium with protected no claims is £160 for the year, a weeks temporary cover is £48. If you take out the full year cover you've got 14 days to cancel and provided you haven't had a claim in that 14 days the admin charge to cancel is £16, so you get a weeks more cover for £32 less than a weeks temporary. Worth the risk of a claim for sure!

Seems legit. But looking at your sig John: 'E85 3.0 si, met with an untimely end, RIPieces... :(' is it perhaps worth the risk?

No risk Chris, it's insured and at £160 it'll do me.

Worth doing though if you need temporary cover to pick a car up surely.
