Multi-ferrari pile up in Japan...
Some of the stickers on the cars suggest it was a club-meet.

Thing is, the lead car that caused the pileup was reportedly "speeding" at around 150 kph (that's about 93 mph), which is nothing for a Ferrari. The real problem was that the roads were still wet from heavy rains the day before. Can you say "hydroplaning"?

Of course this accident could also be attributed to improper weight distribution: too much in the wallet and not enough in the cranium.

Me, schadenfreude? Nah ... :evil:

We can safely blame the Prius, everyone must have been trying to swerve around a solid obstacle :D
 
So ... I assume as a Prius was involved that the road is being eaten away due to gallons of battery acid being spilled ?

It's amazing that this bit of local news has gone worldwide.If you think about it's really not all that newsworthy, especially on a global scale, but it seems to have made quite a splash. I'm wondering if Jeremy Clarkson will have something snide to say on the next Top Gear.

That's it! The Prius must be the secret ingredient that makes this story so universally appealing! I was thinking it might have been carrying spare parts for the other cars, but whatever it was carrying wouldn't have been enough after that mess.

I'm sure I wasn't alone in wondering; if I rushed over with enough superglue, would I be able to get at least one complete car out of the debris? :D
