Why aren't you getting ready for Xmas?

Just ruminating as I sit in my study.
My wife's helping my octogenarian mother in law with her shopping (nice!).
I'm supposed to be cleaning and ironing my clothes but obviously I'm not as I'm messing about here.
I'm feeling smug as Xmas is all done and wrapped, drinks cabinet full etc etc
I'm not on the golf course or cleaning my ZC as it's pi**ing down still.

I just noticed that "In total there are 213 users online :: 55 registered, 19 hidden and 139 guests (based on users active over the past 30 minutes)"

So, what are you all doing? What jobs are you dodging? :poke:

Sat in Starbucks at Centerparcs Longleat. Was supposed to be paint balling, but as usual on first day of vacation, body decided to remind me it's time to rest and gave me a stinky cold for Xmas. Never mind, here with friends and I gave my paintball ticket to one of friends sons so he's happy. I'm too old for that sh1t anyway!

Just about to go out to supermarket in a bit with hwthmbo.
Dreading it :x
On here because I'm putting it off!
Bah humbug.

Just go for. Sooner done, sooner sat with a nice drinky later!
It'll be awful whenever you go, trust me I was on the other side of the counter yesterday......

All done - father has done most of the shopping, presents all sorted, now in Scotland for Christmas. I think there is some shopping to do, but I am avoiding planning and will just do as I am told on taxi duty :D

 got me rum from Cuba lined up :D hic!

All done here ... Had to suffer a day in meadowhell on Thursday to get it all completed, and now sat here, fridge and cupboards full, all pressies wrapped. Feeling dead smug, so am sure I've forgotten something and will be rushing around on Monday :D

All done, presents wrapped and away for Christmas day so no fussing there to do, however if it continues to rain like this I may be moving all my furniture upstairs

Sat in a b.......y garage waiting for them to change the correct O2 sensor for the 3rd time. Only collected it yesterday supposedly sorted only to find the engine management light on again before I got home! Our Corsa not the Z.

I've been in bed for last 3 days with major flu which is ending with a chest infection and a 5 day course of antibiotics.I had loads of socialising planned and have cancelled everything until after christmas. My body's way of telling me I've being overdoing it again. My Z was booked in yestersday to have the wishbone bushes done and being as I was tucked up in bed I asked my missus to cancel the work. Well, she did better than that, she took the car down and sat and waited for it to be done, paid for it and drove it home. I was asleep and unaware of any of it.What a little star she is. Thanks you Mrs bigshurv. :D

As my wife and I are away from the US for a few years. Our Christmas's tend to be laid back. usually spent in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Alps.

Shopping completed a few weeks ago. Lots of German sweets sent to friends and family back home. The only thing we are doing this Christmas is going to Strasbourg France tomorrow with some friends to check out the Christmas markets and sip a mug of Heidelbeer gluhwein. Sometimes life in the slow lane is just fine. Just like that old song "Feelin groovy" by Simon & Garfunkel and made a hit by Harpers bizarre in 1967. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PFP9wnj5gs

Tough times mate but that's better news.
I'm sure we'll all raise a glass to a speedy recovery.
