Whining Sound When Decelerating

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue and got it fixed;

After the car is warmed up, upon deceleration I hear a quiet, whining sound. I can only hear it when the car is going at around 15-20mph and decelerating. I don't think I have to have my foot on the break for it to be there. When going at normal speeds like 45 + mph, I don't hear anything. I drive about 15 miles to work, so by mile 15, it starts to get a little louder when slowing down. It sounds like something that might be rotating, almost like a cloth-like type thing rubbing against something, and the sound goes away when I'm stopped at a light.

I just got my front bearings replaced, got an alignment, my tires are fairly new (got em last year) so I don't think it's that. Any ideas? If so, is/was it expensive to fix?
P.S. It's a 2005 Z4 3.0i

You dont mention mileage of car but I would start by changing gearbox and diff oils and perhaps add a friction reducer at the same time. There is no service item for gearbox and diff oil change but owners report significant improvement when they have changed the oil. If you car has been serviced by main dealer it has probably never been changed. At least you would then check whether there are any leaks.

Are you sure it's not just a passenger screaming in terror?

Most of us on here get that now and again!
