Whining noise from back passenger tire area..

Our 2006 Z4 has a loud whining noise that seems like it comes from the passenger rear tire area. It seems to occurs around 10 miles and hour and above. It completely stops under 10 miles an hour (totally cuts off). It does not seem to be related to shifting gears or engine speed. It has to do with vehicle forward motion. We are thinking maybe wheel bearings or something to do with the brake caliper? Any ideas?

Have you tried gently raising the handbrake or touching the brake pedal when the car is in motion? More likely to be the wheel bearing but an outside chance it could be the diff.

Probably a wheel bearing failing as suggested..does the frequency change with speed?

The noise is till on the overun?

The mosquito has been swatted!! The high pitch whining noise went away after pulling and replacing the wheel bearing. There was no wobble or womping noise, just a continuous high-pitched whine from about 25 mph up.. Thank you all for your help.
