Can the options on my zed be changed while theyre in there?-do they charge extra?-been quoted £40 plus vat for diagnostic check,sorry if its a daft question but on my e46 i was happy with the key as it was,whats recommended?-ive heard about the 3 flash indicator,ive read about an auto lock option is this the one that locks the doors after 5mph?-or is there an autolock option when the car is left stood unlocked for a length of time?-any must have options?-thanks

They will charge extra at the dealers on top of any other diagnostics. Prices seem to be either £40 ish flat charge or some by number of changes. Autoligic equiped dealers can do more and charge less
There is no definitive guide as it's dependant upon model, age, market, accessories, etc., but the handbook indicates many of them.
