Those very nice people at BMW replaced the nearly 5yr old corroded wheels with brand new last year. Had them all off tonight and cleaned the backs - how sad

Come to think about it our old Car was a Cooper S and that had split rims too!

Swapped the Mini for the Z4 - Mini 6 months newer and 24,000 miles with a huge spec incl Works body, sat nav, Lounge interior, sports sus, heated seats, split rims etcetera - put £2k for Z4 with nice spec and 29k miles which seemd a good deal.

Oh no, a debate will no doubt follow this one; manual vs auto :driving:

By the way, the 108's are super easy to clean but I must admit in my humble opinion they are not the best looking wheel option  I do fancy a set of M3 wheels (sorry don't know the reference number) if anybody is interested in A1 perfect condition 1 yr old genuine 108's.....

My favoured wheels, although they usually need a refurb!

Is it worth buying new replica's and if so where's the best place? My 108's are ET47 & 50 - errrrrr, what does that mean in simpleton lingo?

Hi

Thanks for the votes ... well I have decided to keep my 107 wheels, for some reason I think they look great on a roadster .. am I the only person with this opinion ?
I decided against 224 wheels as I wanted to enter my z for concurs shows etc.

I like the 108's but I just feel the 107 suit a silver roadster and they where original when the car left the factory .. plus they are the cheaper out of the bunch

all the best

Nick

no your right, i have 107's on my silver roadster and they really suit the car well, but im bored of them and i want to change from the oem look, so some 19in bbs lm rep's are on the cards, the reason im switching is i parked infront of a silver e46 coupe the other night, prolly about 1800 quids worth of beemer but it was sitting low on 19in bbs lm rep's and they totally blew my wheels out of the water, thats when the decision was made.
