Which tyres?

That is a pretty good lifetime!

I'd be pretty upset if one got a shoulder puncture though hehe :)

I guess that is where that ATS insurance thingy with tyres might be valuable if you are running your tyres for many years.

Mostly motorway driving but also two 3-4 day Ring weekends a year (about 50 laps over the 3 days).

If it was only a weekend car you'd probably be pushing them more frequently and thus get worse life out of them, but in my case the OEM Contis and Michelin PS2s had the same usage so the comparison should be valid.

Only had one puncture in 85k miles and that was 2 weeks after I picked the car up - and that was a 1" gash caused by a water-filled pothole.

Also what pressures are you guys running?
On the inside of the door BMW say to run 2.3 at the front and 2.7 at the back, which would make the current Bridgestones RFL 10x worse.
I'm running 2.1 all round. Is that a bad idea?
 
I'd adjust pressures to suit handling and wear.

I run 32/34 f/r pressures on F1's... wheras 34/36 seem better on the Bridgestones.

I ran 30/34 on the FK452's as if I didn't it handled funny, but then the wear was STILL very centreline heavy with those much lower pressures (ie, bald in the middle on the fronts, but still loads left on the shoulders)


So all tyres are different!
