Which seats fit straight into a Z4?

Hi all,

I'm considering a Z4 as my next car. It'd be an 3.0 SE (around '03/04). From what I've seen, the sport models are considerably more expensive. My main dislike is the seats.. and I haven't seen sport/M seats come up for sale very regularly at all!

What other seats fit straight in?

Thanks
Sam

Sam,

Welcome to the Forum

Not sure if there are other 'aftermarket' seats that are a straight swap with the OEM base but I think its just a case of looking for the model with the right spec.

Thanks :)

Yeah that makes sense but the cheapest sports I've seen (with reasonable mileage) are almost £9k which I don't particularly want to spend at the moment as I'm trying to save for a house.

Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough and there are cheaper sports out there.

Here is my brother's old car for sale, he's just px'd it at the dealer for a Lupo GTI

The mileage is slightly high, this is why he sold it because he was doing too many motorway miles commuting to work.

I have a polo GTi for a runaround :) good car, shares the engine with Lupo GTi

Nippy little cars for their size. VVT engine is good too :)

EDIT - why do so many people think 85k on the clock is something to worry about? Provided the car has FSH and has been looked after, these cars are reliable. £8k for a 56 plate Z4. Bargain

That looks extremely nice but it's more than I want to spend and it's only a 2.5L - I'm looking for a 3.0L

It might be worth test driving the facelift 2.5, its 6 speed and unless you're on a track you'll be pushed to tell the different. Yes, its slightly slower than the 3.0, but it's by no means a slow car. Just a thought.

They are good little cars, something a bit different.

As for high mileage, I completely agree, would much rather own a car that has been driven regularly, than one which has spent 10 years sitting in the same place not being used.

Yeah I suppose but the fact insurance, tax, fuel economy, and pretty much everything else is the same cost for the 2.5 or 3.0 I'd rather the bigger engine. It's only going to be a weekend toy so that's another reason for the extra power/fun :)

The downside is the 3.0's are slightly more expensive than the 2.5's, and the downside of the facelifts is the same thing obviously. I think I'd rather have a pre-facelift 3.0 and have to get rid of the orange indicators and change the seats, than to spend more on a newer model which will depreciate even more :) after all it's more of a toy, it's all about the engine :P

Don't know if the seats are any good but might be worth a phone call??? :D

They would be perfect but it says the full interior has already been removed :(

Sorry didn't read it, rushed through as my tea was on the table!! I just saw the car the other day on the internet and thought I would post it!
