Which seats are definitely compatible with E85

Yeah they should be fine but for the price difference the M3 saloon ones are much nicer than the sport IMO and some are embossed with the logo

There is no m3 saloon, at least not in e46 flavor.
The convertible seats are different to the coupe, and as others have said will not fit. The coupe ones will.
M3 seats have inflatable side bolsters which are quite good and not available on normal e46 models.
Not sure why anyone fits these to a z4 though, I wasn't a fan of them when I had the m3. They're bulky, weigh a ton and will raise your seat height in a z4.

Sorry typo I am 5'9 not 5'0 lol quite a big difference.

I think I want slightly more comfort and support. Compared to my Alfa Spider 2007 these seats are a lot less comfortable. I have a Alfa Romeo Guilia 2018 Veloce and I think I have been spoilt by the seats in there.

If I am honest I am happy just to have manual seats but keep the heating function if that is possible, though happy to have the all electric set up if it is less faff.
