Which new sidelight bulb? As u can see from the pic below my passenger side sidelight has gone, just checking this is the H7 fitment???

Also as I have just replaced my dipped beams with Philips extreme bright bulbs im thinking of giving the Osram nightbreakers a go so could i just put the Philips in the side lights and then the nightbreakers straight into the dipped beams both the H7 fitment?

Thanks

I think the H7's are for dipped and full beam, one for each. I think the side lights are the small bulb you see in the housing for the main beam. Sorry I cant remember the size.

on another note, I have just fitted the Osram nightbreakers. They are better than what I had but don't expect them to light up the road as well as xenon or HID kits. I also raised the beam pattern slightly. Now I can see where I'm going at night so a happy man.

ok ill wait for some confirmation for the sidelight size... also how/where do you adjust headlight height? a pic of the adjuster would help if u have 1??

Thanks.

I don’t have a pic I’m afraid but I have seen one on the forum recently. Have a search for “headlights” or something and see what you come up with.

Open the bonnet and look down from above, behind the lights. You should see two white screw looking heads pointing upwards. One will be higher than the other. The lower one is nearer to the wing than the higher one. The one nearest the wing (lower) will turn the lights left to right (you shouldn’t need to touch this). The other moves the beam up and down. I can’t remember which way but if you drive up to a wall and turn your lights on before turning it, you’ll see which way they go. I wouldn’t do too many turns. Most people suggest only one or two complete turns as you don’t want to blind other road users. This coupled with the Osram bulbs I bought has made driving at night now safe.

somebody may be able to come and confirm but this might help.

My main beam is Xenon, and is DS2 - the Halogen equivalent is H7. My high beam is H7, same as a halogen unit. My sidelight is a T10 - i use an LED equivalent for this.

I recommend these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T10-501-W5W-interior-WHITE-LED-CAN-BUS-10-SMD-5630-with-lens-bulbs-BMW-II-/181218151200?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2a31718b20

They are very bright and perfectly match the Xenon light.

I've just tried to alter the beam height as lots of people have suggested (before buying Nightbreakers or Extremes)
I marked the current setting and pointed the car at a wall
Adjusted 1 full turn, both clockwise and anti-clockwise - the pattern on the wall never alter one jot, :-o even after turning lights on/off
Has anybody any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

The adjuster might be broken, mine was

OK cheers, I'll have a better look in daylight as neither seemed to work
Also wondering if I was too close to the wall and not noticing a change
