Which Ignition Coils for E89 Z4 with N20 engine

Hi all,
I've started getting some minor misfires at normal idle (quite a lot if misfires on start up until it settles to normal idle speed), and at 110k miles thought it about time I replace the coils. I'm happy to keep it standard and was going to go with the Delphi coils, but I'm getting conflicting info on which ones are correct for the N20 and wondered if anyone can clarify. BMW part number is 12138616153, Autodoc tells me the Delphi GN10571-12B1 is the right coil, but GSF tell me that isn't compatible and Euro Car Parts says to use DN10210-12B1 which GSF again say incompatible and all they list is a Bosch.
Has anyone used the Delphi and confirm which is the correct one for the N20?

Cheers,
Peter

Can’t give any specific advice but recently changed coil packs on my daily and had a false start when the first set didn’t fit even though they were sold to me as compatible because the electrics had a particular notch in the plug/socket arrangement. Suggest checking your arrangement prior to parting with your money.

I borrowed an M20 coil for my N52 to look for a slight misfire. The plugs differed because of the notch but, it turned out that they're electrically the same. The notch moved in line with a parts revision somewhere that didn't seem to be related to anything else changing so I just trimmed the notch off to hunt down the duffer and it worked fine.

In the end though it turned out they were all fine and the simple act of pulling them out and putting them back again cured a slightly dodgy connection.

So, I'd start with just reseating them and, if you do need new ones, just order whatever you like and have a sharp knife on standby.
