Which cable is switched ignition live?

Hey guys, just fitting my new parrot, and I need to find out which cable is the 12v switched ignition, anyone got any clue?

I tried to look at electrical some schematics, http://www.bmw-planet.com/diagrams/release/en/e85/index.htm
but site isn't loading correctly for me which could be due to the fact I am on my works network

I assume that you have a digital meter, if so the fuse box might be the way to go.

Hopefully someone else might be able to advise you
 
I presume you are using a Parrot SOT lead. I didn't have any issues when I fitted mine using one.

I actually don't have one, keep meaning to order and don't. I'll try looking at a diagram later to see if it can help

I have another cable I bought due to having the 10 speaker system and aux, and there is a blue switched cable which needs putting into ignition feed

OK, what I would do then is get a fuse piggy back adapter and use that in the glove box in a switched fuse such as the wipers.
 
In the bottom left of fuse box 1,2,3,4 slots are empty and one of them is a switched live (think it number 2) while the rest are perm lives.

Best to use one of them rather than overloading an existing circuit. Simplest way to use it would be with a fuse piggyback connector if you don't want to faff about taking the fuse box out to add your wire from behind the box.
 
umm. the easiest way is to use a multimeter.. but a good starting place would be a white violet lead if you find one.

Can you put the radio on with the ignition off - top of my head i am not sure.. if you cant then its got to be the red main wire.

A nightmare trying to get that site to load, stupid Java is blocking it all.

Just plugged it into the radio live and it's working fine, not too sure why I didn't do that earlier, it doesn't go that loud though which is annoying

I read that last week and obviously got so excited i forgot.....

I then remembered the radio would have the live that i could use to just plugged it in to the pin and voila....Felt like screaming!!

At least its all working now mind.
