Which BMW seats will fit in a z4 roadster? E46 possible?

They are not bad at all actually, but clearly not for lounging in like the OEM armchairs.

I've always liked the standard M sport seats. It's just a shame about the lumbar support. If I didn't have heated seats I'd be tempted to go aftermarket, as I think some aftermarket seats with carbon fibre effect would match the carbon leather dash really well

As above no other BMW seats will look right except the performance ones which are stupid money.

The seats in an e46 330 m-sport look pretty much exactly the same? Or close enough in my opinion.
