Which Android mobiles pair with 2004 E85

Need to purchase an android phone that pairs properly with my 2004 (Built late 2003) none of the newer ones pair properly, contants dont download to the car, and the phone audio connection just keeps turning off.

So deceided I am going to buy an older android phone to leave in the car then when my current phone S9+ detects the bluetooth signal from the car instead of conneting I am going to automatically set up a call forward to the cars phone.

Will also mean I can use google wheres my phone as a tracker if I need to.

Alternatively I think I read on here the later bluetooth modules from the facelifts E85/6 etc work with the later android stuff. Can you just retrofit one of those from a breaker etc?
