Where's the roof motor on an e89?

Hi all-reading a lot of posts recently about roof motors on e85's but are the e89's motors easier to get at?

If it failed I'm guessing it wouldn't take long to replace?

-i can see what you're saying mate -its just that i'm thinking way ahead of myself when i hopefully can afford to trade up to an e89,and was hoping bmw had'nt made the same mistake of putting it in a stupid place

Yeah, a wise move... I'm sure there will be something else though... Fair few wheel / light / leaking issues in the e89 forum IIRC

I don't mind an E89 by the way prices are going but as Adamski they have other issues, did you not follow all the hassle roofless went through

Wheels are at work awaiting pick up from my better half tomorrow night,but while they are off im going to touch up my calipers and grease my brake pipes. :roll:

if I only I had space to keep my E85, definitely buy an E89, specially with the finance deals they are doing at the moment.
