Where to buy OEM Rear springs?

Searched low and high and can't find anywhere to buy 1 oem rear spring, drivers side spring has snapped! Obviously if all else fails I'll call up the stealers tomorrow!

If i'm changing both and only want to change the springs, shall I get oem or any others? Want the cheapest poss option tbh, not sure if it makes a difference to needing alignment or not or will OEM still have to be aligned??

I had a broken spring too, from BMW each spring was about £100, so £200 for the pair. I opted for a set of eibach's, they are slightly lower and uprated over standard £200 delivered. The ride is nice on well maintained roads, bit harsh on speed humps and poor road surfaces, i just don't think the dampers can cope so well now. Thats why i must get my finger out and order up some Bilsteins soon as :roll:

Just out of idle curiosity, is there any particular reason why Eibachs seem to be the go-to choice for Z4M replacement springs? Are they much better than the rest, or is it a case of not much choice for aftermarket springs?

From looking online there's either h and r or eibach to choose from lol this broken spring is starting to annoy me haha
 
Are you really looking to put the cheapest possible set up on your M....? Get the eibach's on it for £200 (plus fitting) and it'll be money well spent.

TBH i don't really know :? They are a great quality replacement :thumbsup:

Cheapest but not to compromise quality, if oem's are half the price and will be a direct swap, no alignment which i've heard is expensive, then i'd much prefer that. I need to get the diff seal sorted at the same time too so every bit of cost saving whilst doing the job will help. I don't think oem's will compromise the car. Esp if only the rears have to be changed :)

Probably worth getting it aligned anyway. BTW my eibachs were the pro kit, £205 from Larkspeed
 
I have one in the garage I'd be open to offers on. Like advised above, I decided to change to Eibach's when I found one broken rear.
