Where to buy new trunk covering / boot liners

Major disaster
Driving home I'm thinking, "what's that smell of solvent? Someone must be painting around here."
A bit further on, I can still smell it.
A bit further on it hits me. I'm taking a full can of weathershield paint back to Homebase.
Pull over and yep, 5 litres of solvent based paint in the boot. I drove the short distance home and started pulling stuff out, trying to avoid dripping or fingerprinting paint onto the body work... :headbang:

Anyway, 5 hours later and I've done as much as I can. Plus sterling work from the better half. So most of the plastic and steel is clean. There are bits down in the battery well that are nigh on impossible to get to without removing the battery etc. And hey, I can always spray it later if I wanted to. :cry:

But the main issue is the carpeted bits. One of the pockets was full of paint. Messy. The rest of the panels around the sunken part of the boot all have some level of paint, which after liberal amounts of white spirit and scrubbing is from original black grey, to not-so-good light grey. If I can't make them better, or live with them, does anyone know where I can procure replacements???

I've read another post that indicates they may not be in production anymore, and Google hasn't come up with the goods yet
 
Not sure where you are Roz, but this guy is breaking a Z4.

I recently bought the cabin carpets from him.

I had a similar accident recently, not sure if it's better or worse:

At some point in the recent past I did some shopping, and bought eggs. Now they must've fallen out of the bag and into the boot, and I forgot about them. Couple of days ago I opened the boot to be greeted with an overwhelming whiff of sulphur, and yep, a box of smashed eggs at the back of the boot.

I also had a nice North Face jacket and two boxes of records in there, which have also taken on an eggy tinge.

Lots of Febreezing and it's better, but not gone entirely. Eurgh.

I had a 4 litre carton of milk break in an old 406 estate company car. It smelt like curdled milk until I finally took out the boot carpet. Even a valeter couldn't sort it. As a lease car I kept the carpet in the shed and put it back in when I handed back the car :evil:
 
I remember my mum spilling a bottle if milk in the old 2.3 mk4 Cortina Ghia. Had to sell it in the end (masked with lots of shake and vac)
