Where to buy a K&N air filter in the UK?

I want to get hold of a K&N air filter here int eh UK. Anyone know of the best place to get one from. Most of the sites look crap... if I can find a reputable place to deal with I would happily recommend them, but it'd proving a struggle.

Also, I presume that's all I need, it's pre-oiled etc?

Have you tried K+N UK http://www.knfilters.com/default.htm you can search for the part on there then search for the nearest dealer nothing near me but would not have thought many places stock filters for a Z4.

The K+N panel filter i had in my last car was pre oiled

Wouldn't use an oiled filter with a car with a AFM tbh. You don't want the oil coating the wire and giving false air flow readings.

I'll second that MAF sensors and oil do not mix, to be honest the amount of extra power you get v the damage to the bores / MAF that can occur, I would not even think about it. I'm sure someone will be along with a better aftermarket solution

yep. In a recent mag test the K&N actually reduced power... Not worth it IMHO

Yes even though i had one in my old car and that did have a better throttle response with the K+N but was a much slower car than my 3.0 so i am more than happy with the power for now.

I previously used a Apex'i cone air filter with custom aluminium heatsheid + ducted cold air feeds on my 200sx. That did improve power as the stock induction system was very restrictive and it was turbocharged.

I'm not sure if bmw offer a high flow panel filter for the oem airbox or whether you have to spend a fortune and go for a Gruppem http://www.gruppemeurope.com/aai.html
