Where should I store hard top?

Just got my first car in my life!

2003 E85 3.0 manual with Merlot Red, fully stock at the moment. Still in progress of getting friendly with the car.. however so happy so far. Masterpiece!

I've also bought the hard top from pevious owner, however the problem is I don't have anywhere to store it.
I'm currently living in a small studio in London, quite difficult to squeeze this into the flat.

Was looking for some self-storage but they are way to expensive.. any ideas? Wish I would have a garage.. London weather these days are too good to not open the top.

Actually would love to find someone who have space to store it, I have all the cover and pakage. Happy to pay monthly for it. Also more than happy to let it use on their car!

No idea how secure the carpark is, but you can buy a rack which stores them vertically.

There might be space behind your car.

You also may be able to install some metal eyelets into the concrete and bike lock it to the wall.

Alternatively, keep at parents house and put it on / off once a year etc.

Thanks for the advice! I'm not sure if the car park will allow me to put some stuffs there, since it is not designated area parking. But still will ask them for it. Thanks again!

Living in the center of a larger city (Amsterdam), I have the same issue... I strore it at my parents garage for the summer, although there I need to figure out a system I can hoist it to the attic area so it is more out of the way.

You seem to have secure parking so that negates any need to have the roof installed all the time to avoid potential security problems with on-street parking in London and we don't have the sort of winters where, if parked outside, you could get enough snowfall on the roof to overload the structure of the fabric roof - I think the hard top comes into its own for cars parked outside in the northern US, Canada or northern Europe where winter conditions are particularly severe.

I think the practicality of installing/removing the hard top is fine if you have it stored at home, ideally in your own garage with a roof hoist, but if you have it stored elsewhere it'll soon become a major PITA as you'll have to plan ahead for installing/removing and, unless you install a roof hoist at the storage location, it takes two people. If this means that you're going to leave the hard top on all the time, or even for months on end, you might as well have bought a coupe

The fabric roof works well and is waterproof (a good clean and a waterproofing treatment every year-or-so helps maintain this) and there are few complaints from the majority of owners who use it all year round - although, if it hasn't been done, it's worth relocating the roof motor to the boot (and there's a few members on here that will help at reasonable rates).

So, if I were in your shoes, I'd simplify my life and sell it...
