Just kidding, I know what you mean, but Mike is right, some parts were made in Germany, but the car was assembled in a land far far away!

I wonder why bmw put z4 coupe made in Germany on the car information sticker when as it seems it is built in the US. I thought the Germans had quite strict laws about accurate detail information or to put it anotherway why did they not put made in USA on the info plate. Are they ashamed?

Again--Z4s, up until 2009 were made in South Carolina, USA. Z3 were as well. X5s and X6s. 3 series used to be. X3s will be. Doesn't matter left or right hand drive. Find a video of the assembly and you'll see why. They (in SC) can build anything from a 1 to a 7 if the correct stamping machines were in place.
Stop worrying about it and drive the darn thing.

Like every Z3 & Z4 ever built, your car was built in South Carolina USA by incompentent Americans, employed at extortionate employment wages.
That has now finished. BMW Germany has realised that they :thumbsdown: cocked-up. So many hundreds of staff will now be laid off. Production will now be transferred to Eastern European Plants that both VW & BMW/Porsche kept open in Bosnia (Sarajevo) during the 1993-1995 war. I know, because I looked after the VW Sarajevo plant.
The Germans are not stupid. They know that they can pay ridiculous amounts of wages. They actually paid absoslutely nothing to the Jews & slaughtered them in 1939+
The Germans will be alright - the British, under Gordon Brown (the Scottish) will be in the poo. :thumbsdown:
