Where can I buy an aftermarket alarm fob?

My key has stopped working completely, and I have water damage on the other one :(

I called up BMW and they want £90 alone for Diagnostics.

I called up an independant who said they couldn't repair the key but they can provide an aftermarket alarm fob that would work alongside my key for £60.

Only issue is they are only open Monday to friday, so I was thinking of just buying one online and coding it myself.

I'm guessing it works in the same way the standard key fob works with the ignition on and off x3 and then the button smashing.
 
BM keys, ben is a top bloke and can sort you out with a flip key for around £70. If you're not in London you can post your GM5 to him and have the key that comes back cut locally.
 
legend, he needed me to remove something from the car to get the key, but he can supply two universal alarm fobs for £30 so i'll do that for now.
 
go on facebook there's a guy called Craig Nehterton that does new keys he'll come out and programme it £80 he does most the bmw's on the bmw groups there all over UK. Was in Bham last week we had 2 keys me and a mate
 
Why go aftermarket? Get a decent key, I'd hate a separate fob. Unless you want to take yourself back to the late 90s!
