I found it hard to keep my hands in my pockets at a classic car auction in the summer - purple TR6 didn't look too bad lots of money spent etc.
It went for £6400 plus the 15% selling fee
Glad I didn't dive in as I'm sure it would need that spending again - and I don't have the skills or the space to do it justice
Like many they are a wonderful desire from my childhood but I wonder whether this expectation would be let down by the actual driving experience ?
Real life prices appear to be £14k upwards so getting pricey
For me there is a value limit for these cars - a bit like the MK2 escorts - a nice restored Mexico would still be attractive at £10k - but realistically now they are commanding £35k plus - this just seems rediculous to me - and for me they can never be worth this kind of money?
