Wheel stripes

I know this is more common on bikes than cars but a saw a car the other day with a really neat pinstripe of colour around the rim of the wheel, whats the general thoughts on this?
I had a look on my wheels and i dont have a pronounced lip as such to run the stripe up to, also i think they look best on dark wheels?

Was possibly thinking about a dark charcoal wheel with an orange stripe on a silver car, i think the small flash of colour on what is predominantly a monochrome car would look really neat.

Any of you photoshop wiz guys fancy putting the above combination on a silver coupe with MV2 wheels?

There is a guy on here 'davidch' (I think) who has a black Z4MC with black BBS something wheels with a red stripe - looks good
