Wheel spoke change of colour help

I plastikote my lower part with satin black. turned out alright I think and it hasn't chipped or anything

why do you want to change them to black? The silver goes better with the trim no?
Also just wondering Jonny is there anything you haven't or planned to change about your zed??

Plastikote, I've tried wrapping but the centre spoke is tricky.

B&Q sell a whole range of Plastikote paints and its good quality. Key up the spoke covers with some very fine sanding paper, prime with Plastikote plastic primer and then paint. Give it a couple coats.

Plastikote doesn't work assuming its the same as plastidip.

I did mine but it wears to quick. Have used a matt black acrylic spray now that seems fine.

plastikote is enamel spray and stays put on the cam cover of my engine so im sure in the cabin will be fine.
alternatively how about using whatever colour takes your fancy in halfords and then covering with a quick dusting of lacquer.

I've got some spare spokes if you're interested Jonny. One needs a bit of sanding as I have tried to apply carbon fibre to it, but it's not too bad.

You could always buy the black spoke covers, some cars had them fitted (some even had cloth seats too)

Matt black paint eventually turns shiny in high touch areas like the outside edges of the spokes. Mine are/were matt black, but the edges are now glossy :headbang:
